VSCO and trying new ideas to see how they fit

I’m trying out a new approach to processing. It’s called VSCO and its a bunch of stuff that enables digital files to look like film images.

I’ve been a bit meh about it, to be honest. I’ve seen so totally overused to the point of muddiness and, hey, I like big bold colour.

Then I noticed that pretty much all my favourite photographers use it and that it can be used lightly and not just by the bucketful.

Will I move to VSCO? I don’t know. I like these files and they’re very different to how I work but until I apply them to something other than my back garden I won’t.

Maybe. But then again, maybe not.

  • Liz Wan - Hello Lucy,

Nice work. I’ve had exactly the same thoughts as you.

I like the picture with the spoon the most. Maybe it’s because I’m a spooner…
