So all that rain we’ve been having recently? Well most of it fell on THIS day.
It didn’t stop. It didn’t let up one teeny tiny bit. It was insistent. It was insidious. It was – at times – more than a trifle alarming. there was even some of that going-up-rain that baffled Forest Gump so much.
But the one thing it wasn’t is this – it wasn’t able – not ONCE – to wipe the smile off Charlotte’s face.
I have never seen a happier bride. Not ever. Not once. And that in itself was pretty special.
Charlotte and Stuart married a couple of days before Christmas in St Andrew’s Church in Ashburton with a reception at the lovely Dartington Hall.
There were Christmas trees, lots of lovely men in uniform, an AMAZING cake, mad crazy dancing (and that was just Charlotte). There was warmth. Yes, lots of warmth and light and happiness and old friends re-touching each other’s hearts.
A lovely day spent with lovely people. Thank you for letting me tell the story of your day x
