Prisca and Liam – a Trevenna Barn wedding

Today’s love adventure started with bridal preps at The Cornwall Spa just outside St Austell.

I was second shooting (a lovely way to pass the leaner months) and so I arrived not knowing who or what to expect. ‘Oh, we’re going to Trevenna Barns, are we? Lovely job’. But first we wend our way into town for a service conducted by the groom’s father.

Second shooting is a strange beast. You’re walking into an intimate moment with strangers. I spend heaps of time getting to know my clients so there’s something odd about this different process. And it’s both oddly freeing and inhibiting. And that not to mention that wholly peculiar sensation that arises when someone else is going through your unedited RAW files which is really rather like having a stranger going through your dirty laundry.

Prisca and Liam – wonderful warm people. And a bally cracking wedding with an OMG dress, a cricket bat wielding vicar and a veil that yearned for an adventure all of its own.
