Orvieto, Perugia and Rome – an Umbrian adventure and travel post

I don’t know. Should I put words in? I don’t normally for travel stuff. But – yet.

Hmm.

Orvieto was an utterly unexpected pleasure. And Perugia – lovely lovely lovely. But this was always and ever going to be about Rome. Because Rome has become to me something of an unforgetable lover. But in all of the right ways.

Do you need to know about my honest to effing God excitement at being shown – thank you thank you THANK YOU Hector – an early copy of Newton’s Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica – a text that I used while reading art, philosophy and all kinds of head muddling mumbo-jumbo at university? (although, appreciably, not in latin).
